Feb 1, 2012 - Dallas, Texas wide receiver Thomas Johnson, one of the top pass-catchers in the country, has committed to the Texas A&M Aggies. Since decommitting from the Texas Longhorns, he'd also taken visits to the TCU Horned Frogs and Oregon Ducks over the past three weeks, reaching TCU last. He'd been committed to Texas for nearly an entire year -- he first verbal'd with the Horns in February of last year.
He's rated a four-star by most recruiting services, with Rivals ranking him the No. 4 receiver prospect in the nation and the No. 5 player in the state of Texas. At six feet and 180 pounds, he's a speed guy, which should make him an interesting piece for Kevin Sumlin's offense.
He put on quite a show during his announcement, at one point asking ESPNU's hosts for their opinion on his destination.
