USC Football Recruiting: Trojans Host Big Junior Day

Lane Kiffin is working on another top recruiting class.

The USC Trojans hosted a big junior day this weekend as they kicked off their 2013 recruiting efforts. Many top prospects were in attendance and some came away with offers, according to Lars Hanson of Rant Sports.

Among the prospects receiving offers was quarterback Max Browne of Sammamish (Wa.) Skyline High School. Browns is considered the top pocket passer recruit in the country, and holds more than 20 college offers.

Also receiving offers was defensive end Joe Mathos of Upland (Calif.) High School. Mathis has great size at 6'4" 250 and is one of the top defensive recruits on the west coast. Mathis also holds offers from Nebraska, UCLA and Washington.

Fresno (Calif). Sa Joaquin Memorial cornerback John Johnson also came away with an offer. The 5'10" 175 pound defensive back is considered one of the top 30 corners int he country by many evaluators. Notre Dame and Stanford are also pursuing Johnson.
