Michigan State Football Recruiting: Caleb Benenoch Commits

Michigan State picks up a massive guard prospect.

Caleb Benenoch, an offensive line recruit, committed to Michigan State Thursday afternoon. Benenoch stars for Katy (Tx.) Seven Lakes High School. He also claims early offers from Kansas State, Ole Miss and West Virginia. It is curious that he does not hold an offer from any of the Texas schools or the schools which regularly recruit the area.

Benenoch stands 6'5 and weighs in at 320 pounds. Upon first viewing of his film, he seems like a center or guard prospect -- and not a tackle -- even though he plays that position in high school. The reason for this is that he doesn't seem to have the lateral agility to handle top pass rushers off the edge. Benenoch does a good job of continuing to move his feet and shows a high level of effort. Rivals.com rated Benenoch as the No. 3 interior line prospect in Texas for the class of 2013.

Benenoch is the fifth commitment of the 2013 class for the Spartans.
