North Carolina Football Recruiting: Donnie Miles Commits To Tar Heels

UNC picks up a versatile defensive back recruit.

Donnie Miles, a defensive back recruit, committed to North Carolina on Sunday. Miles stars for Suwanee (Ga.) North Gwinnett High School. His other offers include Duke and Tennessee. Miles stands 5'11 and weighs 200 pounds. Miles has not yet been rated by most recruiting services.

"I went up there for a visit and it changed my whole outlook on everything," Miles told the Atlanta Journal-Constitution. "They have a new coaching staff, and it's a great college town. I loved it. I fell in love with North Carolina."

Miles told Chad Simmons of Scout that his commitment is rock solid, and that he does not plan to take any additional visits. Simmons, who is based out of Georgia, likes Miles at safety but believes he could play cornerback as well.

Miles is the fifth commitment for the Tar Heels in the class of 2013.
