LSU Football Recruiting: Tigers Land John Diarse

LSU picks up an elite athlete.

John Diarse, an elite recruit, committed to the LSU Tigers on Saturday per multiple reports. Diarse stars for Monroe (La.) Neville High School. He also holds offers from Alabama, Arkansas, Illinois, Louisiana Tech, Mississippi St. and TCU. All of the major recruiting services have assigned Diarse a rating of four stars.

Diarse plays multiple positions in high school, and could play any number at the college level as well. But receiver looks to be his best position. At 6'0" and 200 pounds, Diarse is not a giant, but what he lacks in height he makes up for with elite athleticism an solid instincts. Diarse is very strong and plays with very good power. He will be difficult to jam at the next level and is a load for opposing defensive backs to tackle.

Diarse holds a 3.7 GPA and an ACT score of 19, meaning he is already fully qualified.

Diarse is LSU's sixth commitment of the 2013 cycle, which after having a bit of a down recruiting class last season, looks to rebound in a major way this time around.
