South Carolina will look to make a good impression with Michael Hill.
Michael Hill, an elite defensive tackle recruit, is set to visit the South Carolina Gamecocks on Saturday. Hill claims offers from Alabama, Auburn, Clemson, Florida, Georgia Tech, Michigan, Mississippi, Ohio State, South Carolina, Tennessee and Vanderbilt. He stars for Pendleton (SC) High School. Hill stands 6'3" and weighs an impressive 315 pounds. And he's about as well put together (not sloppy) as a 315-pound high school student can be. Hill is a consensus four-star recruit, and has the chance to move up to five-star status if he continues to impress on the combine circuit and during his senior season.
Other visits have already occurred and more are in the works, per Palmetto Sports:
He’s also visited Clemson, Tennessee and Georgia Tech. This summer he will visit Alabama, Florida, Ohio State and Georgia. And Sutherland said Auburn has come into the picture. Hill plans to get back to Clemson for a spring practice. He’ll also go to Georgia Tech for a practice. He is taking the ACT April 14 so if he makes it to a spring game, it will have to be Clemson. Sutherland said Hill is wide open at this point.
