Michigan picks up a huge linebacker recruit in Mike McCray.
Mike McCray, a top linebacker prospect, has committed to the Michigan Wolverines. McCray stars for Trotwood (Ohio) Mason High School. He also claims offers from Louisville, Mississippi, Nebraska, Oklahoma, South Carolina and Virginia.
McCray made the commitment while on a visit to Ann Arbor, becoming Michigan's 14th commitment in what is shaping up to be an elite class.
From SB Nation Detroit:
McCray is ranked 44th in the nation by Rivals. He is a four-star outside linebacker and is also a four-star recruit on 24/7 Sports. He's 168th in the nation on 24/7 Sports and eighth in the state of Ohio. On ESPN, he is on the 150 watch list, as are 10 other Michigan commits.
McCray is a big, big linebacker prospect. Depending on the source, he is either 6'4" 240 or 6'2" 225. Either figure is quite large for a kid headed into his senior year of high school football. Michigan fans have to be excited about having a huge linebacker able to take on blocks in the hole against some of the bigger teams in the Big Ten cough ::: Wisconsin ::: cough.
