Clemson lands a commitment from an elite linebacker recruit.
Dorian O'Daniel, a top linebacker recruit, has committed to the Tigers according to 247sports and numerous other reports. O'Daniel was in Clemson visiting the Tigers for their spring game. O'Daniel stars for Olney (Md.) Good Counsel. He also holds offers from California, Florida, Iowa, Maryland, Michigan, North Carolina, Ohio State, Oklahoma, South Carolina and Virginia. He is a consensus four-star recruit.
O'Daniel told 247sports:
"I want to thank everyone and anyone who supported me throughout the whole recruiting process in any way, shape, or form," O'Daniel wrote on his Facebook page. "God has truly blessed me, and I am proud to say I am committed to the University of Clemson. Go Tigers!!!"
O'Daniel stands 6'1" and weighs 205 pounds. He has excellent range and quickness, and profiles as a cover linebacker with his excellent ability to play in space. He has already been selected to participate in the U.S. Army All-American Game.
Clemson now has seven commitments in the 2013 cycle, and O'Daniel is the second linebacker commitment in the class.
