Ira Denson, a top offensive guard commitment for the Seminoles, was in town for FSU’s big man camp and thoroughly enjoyed himself.

The poor recruit he faced in this clip, however, did not.

Ira Denson, a fast rising offensive line recruit, committed to the Florida State Seminoles Thursday afternoon. The commitment was leaked previously by Florida State defensive tackle Jacobbi McDaniel, who also played at Madison (Fla.) County High School in the class of 2008, but Denson waited to make it official until he could speak with Florida State's coaches in person.
Denson was first discovered on a large scale at the Orlando Nike Football Training Camp (NFTC) in April, where he wowed observers by stoning Florida Gator defensive tackle commitment Caleb Brantley. Denson is a four-star recruit on both Rivals and 247, while scout tags him as a three-star and says he is the 20th rated guard.
Denson picked up offers from Florida State, and South Carolina in recent weeks, and Georgia is expected to offer soon.
At 6'4" and 320 pounds, Denson shows excellent power and punch. He needs to continue to reshape his body, as he did during the off-season. That should enable him to be quicker, particularly laterally.
Florida State now has ten commitments in the class of 2013.

By now, you probably know the story. Ira Denson was a little known recruit out of Madison County (Fla.) High School. He held offers from Western Kentucky and Florida International.
That was, until he dominated the one-on-ones during the Orlando NFTC.
Offers from Florida State and South Carolina followed, and many top schools have been by to see Denson and his teammates. On Friday, Georgia was in town to evaluate Denson and teammate Shedrick Williams, both of whom earned invited to Georgia's "Dawg Night."

And while Georgia didn't offer Denson, the Bulldogs are coming back soon and may offer at that time:
UGA will be back for scrimmage next Saturday and possibly offer Denson.

On Monday, I profiled the incredible performance put on at the Orlando Nike Camp by little known offensive line recruit Ira Denson of Madison County (Fla.) High School. In that piece, I predicted that interest in Denson was about to soar.
It didn't take long.
Florida State called Denson's coach, Mike Coe, before 7 a.m. Tuesday morning. Other schools quickly followed:
Alabama has just entered the picture for Ira Denson

USF, South Carolina, Louisville, UCF all called or came by to see Ira Denson or Sheddrick Williams today.

Alabama is gonna offer Williams as well if he passes the "eye" test.

The opportunity for other prospects to be recruited when a school stops by to see a star recruit is an underrated aspect of recruiting.
So how did every school but Western Kentucky and Florida International miss Denson? I've spoken with multiple people who saw Madison County play last season. The Cowboys were a good team and made a deep playoff run. Although coach Coe says Denson played well last season, those I've spoken with say that he did not stand out as a high-level BCS kid.
The difference has been Denson's excellent off-season. Coach Coe indicated that Denson has worked very hard to reshape his body and is now seeing the results.
Denson is another reminder of how early April really is in the recruiting process, and how recruiting rankings in April shouldn't be taken all that seriously.
