Georgia keeps one of the state's top linebacker recruits home.

Reggie Carter, a linebacker recruit, has committed to the Georgia Bulldogs, continuing the recruiting momentum from the weekend. Carter stars for Snellville (Ga.) South Gwinnett. He also claims offers from Alabama, Florida State, Michigan, Mississippi and Mississippi State, North and South Carolina, Tennessee, UCF and Vanderbilt. He is rated three and four stars by the various recruiting services. Being the local school certainly helped with Carter's decision. Here's Carter's coach on how Carter fits UGA's defense:

"I think he fits in well with what Georgia does on defense," Small said. "He's a very versatile kid. He can rush the passer, he can put his hand down, he can rush off the edge, he can play inside or outside linebacker ... he can help them wherever they need him. He's very smart, a student of the game. They are getting a tireless worker."

Georgia now has 13 commitments for the class of 2013 and is one of the hottest recruiting teams in the country.
