South Carolina added three commitments on Thursday, including Johnson and Cooper.

Thursday was pretty special for the South Carolina Gamecocks on the recruiting trail, gaining commitments from Devin Washington, David Johnson and Pharoh Cooper.

Johnson, a three-star defender from Lithonia, Ga., High School committed earlier in the day. He is considered a prospect similar to Eric Norwood or Melvin Ingram:

South Carolina will know just what to do with the 6-foot-1, 250-pound Johnson.

Washington came next, and the recruiting night was capped with the addition of Pharoh Cooper, who also happens to be a member of the all-name team. Cooper stars for Havelock, N.C., High School, and also holds offers from the East Carolina Pirates and the N.C. State Wolfpack.

At 5-foot-11 and 181 pounds, Cooper has good size for a defensive back, though he can also play receiver.
