Megastar linebacker recruit Reuben Foster, a recent decommit from the Auburn Tigers, pans to visit Texas A&M, he told 247 sports Monday.
"I'm going to visit Texas A&M," he said. "I don't know when. I'm going to take a visit there. It might not be an official."
It's been the constant work of Auburn High teammate, friend and Aggies commitment Cameron Echols-Luper (Auburn, Ala.) that has done the trick.
"He told me about them (Texas A&M) the whole ride up here (to Montgomery)," Foster said. "He's recruiting me very, very hard. I'm definitely going to go out there with him.".
If A&M does get him on campus, it would be another example of the huge recruiting momentum that Kevin Sumlin is building with the Aggies. Early Monday, star receiver Ricky Seals-Jones, a former Texas commitment, committed to Texas A&M over LSU.
Foster is well known for a ridiculous highlight tape and also for getting a tattoo of the Auburn logo after committing to the Tigers.
While we’re here, let’s watch some of the many fine college football videos from SB Nation’s YouTube channel:
Auburn loses one of its top recruits, a consensus five-star and likely the best linebacker prospect in the country. He's also the one who got a huge Auburn tattoo after committing.

Reuben Foster is creating quite a buzz in Alabama these days, whether the particular fan screams War Eagle or Roll Tide on Saturdays. The five-star recruit and No. 1 linebacker prospect nationwide switched his commitment from Alabama to the Auburn Tigers in July.
Recently, he's been talking to officials of the Alabama High School Athletic Association, not the NCAA as had been previously reported, to clarify his senior-year transfer from a high school in Troup County, GA to Auburn High School in Alabama, according to 247sports.com.
However, all has come up clean when the question was asked if Foster and his family were assisted by Auburn in the move.
"They [the NCAA] are talking with Reuben and me," Foster’s mother, Anita Paige, previously told the Atlanta Journal Constitution. "They want to make sure there was nothing illegal done to get us down here, or anything like that. They want to make sure there wasn’t a college booster involved."
Paige then continued, spelling out that no wrongdoing had occured.
"No, there was not a booster involved or anybody from the college involved. There was nothing illegal."
Foster is the prize of Gene Chizik's incoming class and undoubtedly a sweet steal from the Crimson Tide.

Remember when Reuben Foster, the No. 2 recruit in the nation for 2013, flipped his commitment from Alabama to Auburn after transferring to a high school in the Tigers' immediate vicinity? The NCAA does too, according to a report in the Atlanta Journal-Constitution in which the five-star's mother defends the move.
"They [the NCAA] are talking with Reuben and me," Anita Paige said. "They want to make sure there was nothing illegal done to get us down here, or anything like that. They want to make sure there wasn't a college booster involved.
"No, there was not a booster involved or anybody from the college involved. There was nothing illegal."
Paige also said the Auburn school system is better than what was available at Troup, and that it means a boost not just for Foster's education, but for his little sister as well.
Foster has said he changed schools partly due to the firing of his coach at Troup, who was let go over ... "the improper transfer of a player into the school district."

College football recruits flipping their verbal commitment from one school to another is nothing new. It happens so often, in fact, a switched verbal rarely raises an eyebrow, especially early on in the process.
Reuben Foster's flip from Alabama to Auburn Thursday was an exception.
First of all, Foster didn't just decommit from one school and decide on another; he switched from Alabama to Auburn. From one bitter rival to the next. When players switch between hated rivals, they often become the target of ridicule throughout their collegiate careers.
Then, there was the way he did it. Foster didn't make the switch quietly behind the scenes, he did it at a press conference ... in July. As if that wasn't enough to draw the attention from Alabama and Auburn fans, Foster made the switch with a parting shot.
Back in December, T.J. Yeldon flipped from Auburn to Alabama, saying at the time:
"At the end of the day I feel like the University of Alabama is the best situation and fit for me and my family. I am 100 percent confident with my final decision"
So what did Foster have to say on Thursday as he flipped in the opposite direction? What else of course:
"At the end of the day, I feel like Auburn is the best situation for me and my family," Foster told reporters at his press conference. "I am 100 percent confident in my final decision."
To their credit, Alabama fans are taking Foster's flip in stride. Here are a few comments from SB Nations Alabama blog, Roll Bama Roll:
"Best news of the day ... Some fortunate young man just had a spot open up for him to join the University of Alabama on its quest for another National Championship!" - BamaNTN
"Julio said that Coach Saban told him 'We can win with you or without you.' That motivated Julio to come and, of course, that was a great decision for all. This is a bigger loss for Foster than for Bama." - CrimsonWhite24.7
Well, most Alabama fans:
"So we are totally throwing flamming dog s--t on his front porch, right?" - bammer
He's kidding ... I think.
Linebacker Reuben Foster, the No. 2 recruit in the country behind Robert Nkemdiche, has been a longtime Alabama commit, but things done changed. At a Thursday afternoon recruiting announcement press conference in dadgum July, Foster announced he's committing to archrival Auburn, and it's a good thing the Finebaum show is on shortly, isn't it?

We can now go ahead and consider Auburn the strong leader for Foster's services, but Signing Day is a long way away. Alabama's class is still very strong, but think Nick Saban goes twice as hard after Robert Nkemdiche now?
The 6'2, 228 pounder pledged to the Tide in July of last year, but has since transferred to Auburn High School and twice visited UGA, leading to wide speculation that he'd be flipping to one of those two schools. He has offers from USC, Clemson, and others, and would probably have dozens more if he hadn't committed to Saban so early.
Said our own Bud Elliott hours before the announcement:
Foster has connections to both schools.
He was recently profiled as wanting to play with Georgia commitment Tray Matthews, a top safety recruit. However, Foster is rumored to have recently canceled his upcoming visit to 'Dawg Night', a large recruiting event for Georgia scheduled for next week.
That leaves many speculating that Foster will commit to Auburn, spurred by his recent move to the area, and interaction with Auburn's staff.

Reuben Foster, the nation's top linebacker recruit, suffered an apparent hamstring injury today at The Opening after running his 40-yard Dash.

Foster is committed to Alabama. His highlight film is legendary and he weighed in yesterday at 250 pounds, an enormous number for a linebacker recruit.
Recently, Foster fueled speculation that he could decommit from Alabama and commit to Georgia or Auburn.

Georgia has the good fortune of seeing this year's top two recruits hail from the Peach State. The bad news, of course, is that No. 1 recruit Robert Nkemdiche has already committed to Clemson and No. 2 Reuben Foster is an Alabama commit. But hang on there -- could Mark Richt have a shot at swiping the five-star inside linebacker from Nick Saban?
Foster's mid-June visit to Athens looked like something of a formality, but he visited again over the weekend, saying he "wanted to spend three" nights and "didn't want to go back." Standard recruit stuff, but he did offer up a couple very interesting comments, via 247 Sports:
"I hung out with Jarvis Jones, Alec Ogletree, Alexander (Ogletree) and they really preached to me faith before fame."
Also noteworthy from Foster's interview was the declaration that while he currently remains committed to Alabama, he plans on playing his college ball alongside close friend Tray Matthews, a safety from Newnan, Georgia currently committed to the Bulldogs.
He does affirm he's still committed to Alabama, and tells ESPN Matthews planned to commit to the Tide at one point. So it looks like the two will keep recruiting each other while the two schools keep hammerin' away.

Reuben Foster visited Georgia Saturday, but all indications are that the top linebacker recruit is still very secure in his commitment to Alabama.
