Many one of the state's top prospects will arrive for the Thursday portion of the Jimbo Fisher Football Camp. But one recruit made sure to be there for every minute: Ryan Green of St. Pete (Fla.) Catholic. Green, one of the top running back recruits in the nation, wanted to be sure to be there to support everyone else. "I wanted to be here to support my teammates," Green said. Even though he came out with a large group, Green elected to not work out in the heat. He plans to work out tomorrow instead.
The 5'10, 190 pound running back has been to Tallahassee more times than he can count. "Oh man, I don't even know. A bunch of times. I love it up here," Green said when asked about his previous trips to Florida State.
One of the main draws for Green to Florida State is coach Eddie Gran. "Coach Gran is like a second father figure. I love his spirituality and that he doesn't use profanity. I can trust him and he is about coaching." Green couldn't point to one thing he impressed Coach Gran with. "Everything. I've gotten better in all areas," Green said.
There's some speculation that Green could pull the trigger for the Seminoles while on his visit. He said that he will make a decision "whenever I feel comfortable. I don't have a timetable." The last time SB Nation spoke to Green, his top three schools were Florida State, Florida and Notre Dame.
"That's still my three, but some other teams have jumped in too, like Tennessee and Auburn," Green explained. "I went up there and liked what I saw. They are big time schools and big time football programs with great facilities." Green had just visited Tennessee and Auburn on his way back from a recent trip to Notre Dame.
What will it take for Green to commit to a school? "The right fit. It has to feel right. The academics have to be right. Florida State has shown me that. And Notre Dame has shown me that too. I just have to feel comfortable," said Green, who is looking to study Zoology, Biology or Communications.
Stick with SB Nation for more updates from Ryan Green tomorrow during the Jimbo Fisher Camp.

The father of Ryan Green, one of the top running back recruits in the state of Florida, denied rumors Monday that Auburn had moved into his son's top three following a visit to the Plains for Big Cat Weekend, according to a report at ESPN.com ($):
“There is no top three, no top five, nothing right now,” said Green’s father, Vader Green. "Ryan said that Auburn was one of the top three visits he’s been on but that’s all.
“We have too many schools to sort through to make that sort of deduction right now.”
Insiders believe that Green continues to favor Florida State, Notre Dame and Florida, just as he did in late April.
