Florida linebacker commitment Daniel McMillian, of Jacksonville, Fla., First Coast High School made a surprising visit to the Jimbo Fisher Camp on Thursday. And before the rains came, McMillian showed well in coverage. Check out these exclusive SB Nation clips of McMillian covering some of the top backs and tight ends in the state.
In this clip, McMillian faces off against an unknown running back. The runner doesn't exactly sell the route all that well, but McMillian does do a nice job to flip his hips, stick his foot in the ground and go.
In this clip, McMillian faces off against who appears to be Lorenzo Woodley, a running back out of Miami, Fla., Columbus High School.
In the third clip, McMillian is all over the tight end from Lake Mary.
In this clip, McMillian gets a great jam and reroute against tight end Jordan Davis, but is perhaps a bit too aggressive as Davis turns upfield.
McMillian looked quite good Thursday. He is extremely athletic, long and has a great build. Most services have him as a top-five linebacker nationally and I saw nothing Thursday to indicate that he is undeserving of such a ranking.
