Despite his pledge to Florida State, Christian Morgan took a visit over the weekend to Ole Miss.

Ole Miss has an opportunity to show its fans that its program is headed in the right direction this weekend as the Rebels are set to host Texas. Mississippi has been installed as a 10-point favorite, and while unlikely, and upset is not out of the question.
But off the field, Ole Miss will be doing some very important hosting as well, as four-star tight end recruits Christian Morgan and Beau Sandland will be in town to take in the game. With Ole Miss looking for impressive tight ends, the Rebels would be happy to have either of the pair.
Morgan is a current Florida State commitment out of Plano (TX) Prestonwood Christian School. He has very good athleticism for a player of his size (6'5, 255). Impressing Morgan's mother, with whom he is very close, will be important for Ole Miss.
Sandland is one of the top JUCO tight ends in the country. Out of Pierce College, Sandland visited Oklahoma on September 7, and came away very impressed:
"I had fun and it was a really good visit," Sandland told OUInsider. "It was good to get out there and check out everything first hand. I was trying to soak up as much as I could, I wanted to be a sponge and learn about the players, staff, town and entire program as a whole and it went really well."
Among the many things a rebuilding program like Ole Miss can offer is playing time, and that's certainly a big draw for recruits. It's possible one or both of these two could commit this weekend, particularly if the atmosphere is electric and the game goes well.

Florida State lands an excellent tight end recruit.

Following a trip to Tallahassee last weekend to take in the Florida State campus and meet with the Seminole coaching staff, 2013 Plano (TX) Prestonwood Christian tight end Christian Morgan decided on Thursday that he has all the necessary information to make his commitment.
Morgan announced the date, location, and time of his decision via Twitter:
I will be announcing my college decision on Tuesday at 5:00 pm at Gleneagles country club. Hope everyone can make it out!

The 6-5, 245-pound tight end who also plays defensive end for Prestonwood had narrowed his list down to four schools in early June -- Arkansas, Baylor, Florida State, and Ole Miss.
As Morgan indicated to SBNation's Bud Elliott recently, he enjoyed the trip to Florida and likes the FSU offense:
They are a pro-style offense and play multiple tight ends. I like that they get you NFL ready and will play their tight ends both with their hand in the dirt (as an in-line tight end) and move them around (as a flexed tight end).
As a prospect who projects as a blocking tight end first and foremost at the next level, Morgan isn't turned off by the pass-happy reputation of the Baylor offense:
It matters, but it's not huge. Baylor runs a spread, but coach Briles said he uses what they have. He said if I ball out they'll get me the ball a lot
For some prospects, proximity can be a major factor, but Morgan said that will not be the case in his recruitment, likely a major reason why three of his final four schools are beyond the borders of Texas.
Where will Morgan end up? He wasn't willing to tip his hand during the interview with SBNation, but fans of those four schools won't have to wait long to find out his decision.
