Alvonte Bell, an interesting defensive end recruit, has committed to the Kentucky Wildcats, according to a report from Rivals.com.
Bell stars for Miramar, Fla., Everglades High School. He is a three-star recruit on most major sites, and has a very interesting offer list that includes Clemson, Florida State, Louisville, Mississippi, Mississippi State, Notre Dame, Vanderbilt and West Virginia. However, many of those schools are believed to have not issued a "committable" offer to Bell because they first want to see him camp over the summer and improve his grades and academic profile.
On the field, Bell is very promising. He's a true 6-foot-6 (I've seen him in person) and 228 pounds with great length. Bell shows the ability to bend and has pretty decent agility for his height and build. Bell flashes the ability to use his length against opposing defenders, and as he puts on weight should become a four-star-type recruit -- that is, if his grades are in order.
