Robert Foster Names Top 7 Schools Including Michigan, Alabama And Ohio State

Stay connected with SB Nation

Robert Foster, one of the top receivers in the country, named his top seven schools Thursday. Out of Monaca (PA) Central Valley High School, Foster holds offers from nearly every program nationwide. And of those, Foster laid out the Michigan Wolverines, the Michigan State Spartans, the Ohio State Buckeyes, the Pittsburgh Panthers, the Alabama Crimson Tide, the USC Trojans and the Oregon Ducks as his favorites.

That's truly a national group, though as one would expect given his location, it does have a distinct Big Ten flavor.

Two teams on the list, Ohio State and Oregon, run some variant of the spread offense, while the rest run a decidedly more pro-style attack. And Alabama and Oregon run the ball considerably more than the others, making them a rather surprising option for a top receiver.

Interestingly, Penn State was not named, though they are likely to take only one more receiver in the 2013 class and would certainly hold a spot for Foster.
