A dominant performance from Michigan QB recruit Shane Morris, Alabama TE recruit O.J. Howard, Notre Dame LB recruit Jaylon Smith and undecided WR Levonte Whitfield helped Team Land Sharks to a lopsided victory over Team Vapor Carbon in the opening round of 7-on-7 pool play at The Opening.

Saturday is 7-on-7 pool play day at Nike's The Opening 2012. Team Vapor Carbon features quarterback Brice Ramsey, a Georgia commitment. Vapor Carbon will face off against Team Land Sharks, which features quarterback Shane Morris, a Michigan commitment.
The matchup also features top-100 players including Indiana linebacker Jaylon Smith, the top outside backer in the nation. Smith plays on the Land Sharks, who also feature an athletic freak at tight end in O.J. Howard. The pairing is slightly disappointing for analysts, who had hoped to see the two match up.
While Smith won't get the opportunity to cover Howard, he will have the chance to face off against Miami tight end commitment Travis Johnson, a 6'4, 232-pound product out of Tampa. Vapor Carbon also features South Carolina commitment Larenz Bryant. There's no indication, however, of who will cover Howard for team Vapor Carbon.
Other Notables For Vapor Carbon: Oregon running back commitment Dontre Wilson.
Other Notables For Land Sharks: Florida receiver commitment Ahmad Fulwood.
