Cameron Hunt, a top offensive tackle recruit, committed to the Cal Golden Bears on Saturday at Nike's premier camp, The Opening. Hunt stars for Corona (Calif.) Centennial High School. He is a consensus four-star recruit and is one of the top 75 linemen nationally, standing at 6'4 and weighing in at 270 pounds. Hunt chose Cal over offers from Arizona State and Washington, among others.
Hunt is not a large offensive lineman by offensive lineman standards. He relies on his quickness, athleticism and footwork to gain the advantage on his opponents. He did, however, have his moments Saturday at The Opening thanks to his footwork. He also had moments in which he was overpowered.
Hunt is likely not going to be physically ready to start in the Pac 12 until the 2015 season.
Hunt is the seventh commitment of the 2013 class for the Bears.
