California running back Craig Lee is taking his talents to UCLA, SB Nation reports. Follow @SBNationCFB
SB Nation has learned that Redlands HS (Redlands, Calif.) running back Craig Lee has committed to play football for Jim Mora's UCLA Bruins.
He held, and considered, offers from 10 Pac-12 member schools, as well as Notre Dame and Nebraska, before finally deciding to play in Westwood.
Lee, who is considered one of the top running backs in the West for 2013, is ranked as a four-star player by Rivals, Scout and 247Sports. He is a balanced back who displays a good combination of both power and breakaway speed.
Since taking over at UCLA, Mora has preached that he wants toughness to be a trademark of his teams. Lee, who hails from an area known for its grit and blue-collar mentality -- California's "Inland Empire" -- undoubtedly fits the mold Mora is looking for.
