Rodney Adams Decommits From Florida Gators

Rodney Adams, a speedy receiver recruit, has decommitted from the Florida Gators according to a report by ESPN's Derek Tyson.

Adams stars for St. Pete (Fla.) Lakewood High School, and had committed to Florida in the spring. He is rated a three or four-star recruit, depending on service.

It's been a very tough week for Adams, who posted on his Facebook that he was not able to play football this year because doctors think he might have a hole in his heart. Later, Adams did seem a bit more optimistic, stating that his doctors said he cannot play football "right now."

There's also a commonly held belief that Adams was not going to qualify academically for Florida.

Adams is by all accounts a nice and decent kid. Keep him in your thoughts and prayers this week. Here's hoping the doctors properly diagnose his condition and that he finds the school that best fits his needs.
