The Notre Dame commit went down in practice with a leg injury.
The first major injury of the 2013 US Army All-American game week occurred on Tuesday during the morning session of the West team's practice to Prosper (TX) wide receiver Torii Hunter, Jr., a Notre Dame commit:
First injury of the day is #Irish commit Torii Hunter Jr., and he's in some pain. Trainers looking at left knee. Hope he's OK. #ArmyBowl

From the descriptions, it didn't look good when it happened, and the early prognosis wasn't great either. Hunter, Jr. was carted off the field with an air cast on his left leg.
Early reports are that Torii Hunter Jr. has a torn quad, but that hasn't been medically cleared. Stay tuned. #ArmyBowl #Irish

If Hunter, Jr. did suffer a fully torn quadriceps, surgery will be required and the recovery time is between four and six months. The good news is that even in a worst-case scenario, Hunter, Jr. should be sufficiently recovered in time to participate in fall practice with Notre Dame.
