Former Texas commit Durham Smythe - Wescott Eberts (SB Nation)
The former Texas pledge is taking his first official visit since decommitting in December.
For 2013 Belton (Texas) tight end Durham Smythe, the trip out to Palo Alto to take an official visit to Stanford will be his second journey out to the west coast in the last year.
The longtime Texas commit had visited Stanford back in early March last year days before committing to Texas.
Smythe arrived in Palo Alto on Thursday and so far seems to have a positive impression of his accommodations:

It seems unlikely at this time that Smythe would make a decision on the trip, as he still plans on taking several more official visits. However, the 6-5, 230-pound tight end with natural pass-catching ability has not yet set up any of those trips, with time starting to run out before Signing Day.
Nebraska, Michigan, Oregon, and Florida have all been mentioned in the past as schools that Smythe could decide to visit.
And though Smythe has not mentioned any favorites or leaders since decommitting, the fact that Stanford was so heavily in the mix to land his services when the Belton product committed the first time, it's not hard to see the Cardinal as the current leader.
