Top defensive end prospect Elijah Daniel committed to Ole Miss on Sunday night, adding to what is already a strong recruiting haul for the Rebels.
Elijah Daniel, a defensive end from Avon High School in Indiana, committed to Ole Miss over Florida on Sunday night. Daniel is considered a four-star prospect by Rivals and the eighth-best strongside defensive end prospect in the class of 2013. He is rated considerably higher by 247Sports, which ranks him as the 27th best overall player in the class.
Daniel visited Ole Miss and Mississippi State back in November, and he checked out Arizona State this weekend. He still has a visit scheduled for Feb. 1 at Florida. Whether he'll go through with that now that he has apparently made up his mind on where he wants to go to school remains to be seen.
Daniel has scholarship offers from Missouri, Michigan State, Louisville and Miami, among others.
Daniel's commitment further solidifies an Ole Miss class that already was considered among the 15 best in the nation by Rivals. The Rebels have gotten commitments from six four-star recruits and one five-star prospect.
