Priest Willis to announce commitment Wednesday: UCLA bound?

Bud Elliot, SB Nation

One of the top defensive back prospects in the nation is expected to make his decision this week.

Priest Willis, a defensive back out of Tempe, Ariz., is expected to announce his commitment decision on Wednesday. The recruit announced on Monday via his personal Twitter account that he would be making the choice this week. He is widely expected to choose UCLA over offers from most major football powers, including LSU, Florida, Oregon, and USC.

Willis is listed as a five-star prospect on Scout, while garnering four stars on Rivals and ESPN. Scout pegs him has the No. 4 incoming cornerback and the No. 41 incoming freshman overall. Rivals believes Willis to be the No. 10 safety, and No. 59 overall, while ESPN has him No. 5 positionally and also No. 59 nationally.

If UCLA is able to add Willis, that will likely improve a class that currently ranks No. 18 in 247 Sports' composite team rankings. The Bruins have currently have 13 composite four-star recruits coming to Westwood in the 2013 class.
