Keith Bryant will be checking out the South Carolina Gamecocks, but Quinton Powell won't. Also visiting will be current South Carolina commits Larenz Bryant and Alan Knott.
The South Carolina Gamecocks will have a few commits along with one still uncommitted prospect out there coming this weekend on official visits. They will not be getting a visit from one of their top targets.
South Carolina is expecting visits from committed recruits including Larenz Bryant, a four-star linebacker from Charlotte (N.C.), where he attended Alan Knott from Tyrone, Ga. The Sandy Creek High School offensive guard is a three star lineman.
They'll be looking to help sway a pretty prominent uncommitted prospect. Keith Bryant is a consensus four-star defensive tackle from Delray Beach, Fla., where he attended Atlantic High. Bryant recently visited Miami last week and Florida State the week before, but Bryant definitely has South Carolina on his short list.
Bud Elliott's take:
Bryant has long considered South Carolina, and while Florida State and Miami seem to have the edge here, the Gamecocks cannot be counted out since Bryant is making the visit.
Linebacker Quinton Powell did recently have a trip scheduled to South Carolina, but he has since cancelled it and appears to be down to a final two of USC and Florida.
