Notre Dame stands to get some good news Friday during the Under Armour All-America Game. Max Redfield, a top safety recruit out of Mission Viejo (Calif.) High School is set to commit, and he is expected to choose the Notre Dame Fighting Irish over the USC Trojans.
At 6'3 and 195 pounds, Redfield has excellent size and range. He can drop into the box to play the run, or align over the slot receiver in pass coverage.

Notre Dame insiders are confident that he is the top target for the Fighting Irish at the safety position.
All week, Redfield has been recruited to the Fighting Irish by four other Notre Dame commitments, including #34 Alex Anzalone (LB), #70 Hunter Bivin (OL), #60 Colin McGovern (OL) and #10 Tarean Folston (RB).
