Top linebacker prospect Reuben Foster will take a trip to the Washington Huskies. Foster is considering UW among schools like Auburn, Georgia, Alabama and LSU.
One of the best recruits in the 2013 class is taking a trip up to Seattle this weekend. Auburn high school linebacker Reuben Foster will be visiting the Washington Huskies this weekend.
It's clear that despite the visit and the persistence of Washington recruiting guru Tosh Lupoi, the Huskies are decided underdogs in this fight. The teams that seem to have the best shot are the Auburn Tigers (the team that Foster originally committed to before reopening the recruiting process) and the Georgia Bulldogs. Washington is right behind Alabama and LSU here and would have to make great strides on Foster's visit to really get into the game.
Here is what Mike Farrell of Rivals had to say about Foster:
Foster has many schools on his list and everything could change depending on where former Auburn assistant coach Trooper Taylor lands. But I think Georgia is probably the team to beat here. Auburn is trying to get him back in the fold and is pushing hard and LSU is also a threat. Even Foster doesn't know right now and seems to be adding more schools than subtracting, so things could change quickly.
Foster is a consensus top 25 recruit by all services and the top inside linebacker in the country. Rivals has him 6th overall, 247 Sports has him 10th, Scout puts him 2nd, and ESPN places him 24th. Foster can be an instant impact guy in many schools, and perhaps the appeal of instant playing time in Washington is drawing him up to the Pacific Northwest.
