The Hurricanes added another top talent to their 2014 class.

Miami landed another consensus four-star prospect when defensive tackle Anthony Moten committed to the Hurricanes Wednesday. Moten chose Miami over numerous power-conference schools, including Florida State, South Carolina, Florida, Notre Dame, Michigan State, Alabama, Clemson and Nebraska.

Moten originally committed to the Gators before deciding to re-open his recruitment over the summer.

The Ft. Lauderdale St. Thomas Aquinas High School product stands 6'4 and weighs 279 pounds. He is considered a four-star prospect by 247Sports, the No. 21 player at his position and the 32nd-best player from Florida. Rivals rates him the No. 163 overall prospect in the nation as well as the No. 12 player at his position. Similarly, Scout ranks him the No. 16 player at his position. Rivals and Scout also consider him a four-star player.

Moten's addition improves what already was a strong 2014 Miami class. Before Moten's addition, the Hurricanes' class ranked first in the ACC and sixth nationally, per the 247Sports composite.
