One of the nation's top prospects is set to make his commitment decision Tuesday, as Clifton Garrett will decide between LSU, Florida and Ole Miss.
From Plainfield South High School in Illinois, Garrett is considered a five-star outside linebacker by the 247sports composite. He is rated as the 28th-best player in the class, the top outside linebacker and the top player in the state, and is one of the most highly sought after high school players in the country.
Listed at 6'2" and 228 pounds, Garrett has elite size for a high school linebacker and possesses tremendous potential for whatever school picks him up. All three schools boast recruiting classes ranked in the top 15 nationally, and Garrett would certainly boost those numbers. LSU had the best season among the schools, but Ole Miss has a history with young defenders in Robert Nkemdiche and Florida has a very strong defensive unit.
The pick: LSU. Garrett has been considered an LSU lock for quite some time, and there is no reason to believe he will head elsewhere.
