Clemson football recruiting is off to a very good start for the class of 2014, which currently features five commitments. Clemson closed well in the class of 2013, and our Clemson football recruiting experts believe the 2014 class will feature at least 18 commitments.

Current Verbal Commitments
Dalvin Cook, Miami (Fla.) Central High School: Cook is a 5'11, 190-pound running back. He is widely considered one of the best running backs in Florida, and carried a consensus four-star rating. Cannon Smith, Columbia (SC) Hammond School: Smith is a 6'6, 235-pound tight end. He is a consensus four-star recruit. Smith does not claim any other offers.
Deshaun Watson, Gainesville (GA) High School: Watson is a 6'3, 200-pound quarterback. He is a consensus four-star recruit with a big arm and loads of athleticism. Watson plays for Cam Newton's 7-on-7 team, and also holds offers from Auburn, Ohio State, Florida State, Georgia, LSU, Miami, California, North Carolina, Ole Miss and Tennessee.
Jae'lon Oglesby, Central (SC) D.W. Dabiel High School: Oglesby is a 6'0, 175-pound running back. He carries a conesnsus three-star rating. Oglesby has the frame to add weight to shoulder more of a load.
Taylor Hearn, Williston (SC) Elko High School: Hearn is a 6'5, 305-pound offensive lineman. He has not been rated by the major recruiting services, but also holds an offer from North Carolina.
