Joseph Yearby - Bud Elliott (SB Nation Recruiting)

Miami lands an excellent running back recruit

Joseph Yearby decommitted from Florida State and committed to the Miami Hurricanes Tuesday. Yearby is one of the top running backs for the class of 2014. Out of Miami (Fla.) Central High School, Yearby stands only 5'9, but weighs in at a solid 190 pounds. He is a four-star recruit according to 247sports, Rivals and Scout, and is on the ESPN Watch List.

Yearby committed to Florida State in the late summer of 2012, but verbal commitments are non-binding, and he also claims offers from Miami, Florida State, West Virginia and UCF. On Tuesday, he made the decision to flip his commitment to the hometown Hurricanes.

The hire of new offensive coordinator James Coley, formerly of Florida State, likely helped Miami pull off the flip. Yearby is Miami's fourth commitment of the 2014 class.
