Fred Ross at the state 7on7 tourney last summer - Wescott Eberts (SB Nation)
According to the Oklahoma State side of things, the longtime pledge is no longer considered a Cowboy commit
After a recent official visit to Starkville, the recruitment of 2013 Tyler (Texas) John Tyler has taken a turn, with the 6-2, 185-pounder set to speak with his coach on Tuesday evening regarding his final choice.
From the Oklahoma State perspective, the current news is not particularly good news:
For the time being at least, #okstate is not counting WR Fred Ross on the commitment list any longer. Interesting times.

Ross committed to Oklahoma State last February and remained firm until he took a visit to Mississippi State on January 25th.
Now his recruitment may be open again, with the fingerprints of Bulldog wide receiver coach Tim Brewster all over it. Brewster has deep connections to the state of Texas after working as the recruiting coordinator for the Longhorns for a number of years, with one of his most significant coups convincing Mack Brown to recruit Vince Young and then convincing Young to head to Texas instead of going out of state.
It's the same choice that Ross will have to make on Tuesday evening and those who remember Brewster's days at Texas probably aren't betting against him.
Look through SB Nation's many excellent college football blogs to find your team's community.
