Matt Rolin enrolled at Florida

Bud Elliott (SB Nation)

Rolin is on campus and Florida and attending classes.

Matt Rolin, a linebacker prospect from Briar Woods High School in Virginia, is an early enrollee at Florida. Rolin was once a South Carolina commitment, but he flipped from the Gamecocks to the Gators on Dec. 9. He had originally committed to South Carolina in May of last year.

The move was very surprising, though Rolin did have an affinity for the Florida Gators throughout the process. Interestingly, Rolin had his knee surgery done at the University of South Carolina just shortly before committing to Florida, which had many South Carolina fans plenty angry with him.

Rolin is considered the 12th-best outside linebacker in the class of 2013 by 247Sports, and the No. 162 player overall. Rolin joins an impressive group of early enrollees at Florida, and he is part of one of the top overall recruiting classes in the nation.

Ratings: Rolin is considered a four-star prospect by both Rivals and 247Sports.

Vitals: He is 6'4", 210 pounds and runs a 4.60 40. He is an excellent athlete, and assuming he bounced back from his knee, injury, should be very good for Florida.

Other offers: Rolin had offers from South Carolina, Georgia, Notre Dame, Ohio State and Michigan.
