Dual threat quarterback Asiantii Woulard ended up choosing the UCLA Bruins.
Winter Park quarterback Asiantii Woulard ended up choosing the UCLA Bruins. Woulard picked UCLA over schools like Clemson, South Florida, and N.C. State in a signing day ceremony. He is UCLA's only quarterback in this class and figures to provide the Bruins with another potential player at the position.
Here are some unique and original thoughts I had on Woulard's ability for an SB Nation story.
Woulard needs a lot of development but has a nice arm and is pretty athletic. UCLA has yet to find a quarterback for this recruiting class and it would be a huge development to land the dual-threat quarterback.
Woulard is a dual-threat quarterback that figures to function quite nicely in the Noel Mazzone offense. Woulard has a lot of development to fully be ready to be a good collegiate quarterback, but he has all the tools in place to excel. Woulard also beat out numerous other great quarterbacks to win Elite 11 MVP honors in the famed summer camp, so all the talent is there. It just might take a year or two for him to be ready.
However, Woulard is an athlete, and that puts him in the mold of Brett Hundley in terms of his triple threat ability (passing, running, scrambling). If Woulard can put everything together he could be the quarterback next in line to succeed the current UCLA signal-caller.
UCLA continues to bolster their overall class and figures to move even further up with this commitment, moving one step closer to the recruiting class in the Pac-12. The Bruins were only missing a quarterback, and they figure to be mighty lethal to deal with in the upcoming years.
Ratings: Woulard is considered a consensus four-star quarterback and one of the candidates as the best dual threat quarterbacks in this class.
Vitals: Woulard weighs in at 200 pounds and measures in at 6-4.
Other offers: Woulard had offers from Ole Miss and ACC and Big East schools like South Florida, N.C. State, Boston College, Pitt, Syracuse, and Wake Forest.

Recruitment timeline: Woulard committed to South Florida after Junior Day in Tampa in February. Then Woulard decommitted from April, but a few months later he recommitted to the Bulls. He would stay committed until December. He would then visit Kentucky, Clemson and UCLA before deciding on the Bruins.
