Jarrett Stidham talks recruiting, Alabama, Kentucky visits

The former wide receiver has been drawing national attention with his switch to quarterback

LEANDER, Texas -- At the start of small-school pool play on Thursday afternoon at the Southwest Williamson County Regional park, numerous recruiting analysts representing every major service gathered to watch 2015 Stephenville (Texas) quarterback Jarrett Stidham open pool play against Melissa.

And Stidham didn't disappoint, finding his rhythm after failing to convert on the first two Yellow Jacket possessions, first working short passes, then hitting holes over the middle in a widened defense. By the end of the performance, he had shown off all the attributes that have already made him such a highly-coveted prospect -- his accuracy, arm strength, and ability to go through progressions to find open targets.

Afterwards, Stidham spoke about the recruiting process, big upcoming visits to Alabama and Kentucky, and how it feels to have so much interest despite only attempting several passes at the high school level.
