Notre Dame recruiting: Florida WR Corey Holmes commits to the Irish

The Irish went south to pick up another four-star commit on Wednesday in wideout Corey Holmes.

The Notre Dame Fighting Irish have secured the commitment of Ft. Lauderdale (Fla.) St. Thomas Aquinas wide receiver Corey Holmes. Holmes is rated as a four-star recruit by each of the four major recruiting services.

Holmes, who stands 6'2 and weighs 175 pounds, is considered among the top-30 wide receiver prospects in the country, and is rated as high as eighth among wide receivers by ESPN. He holds a long list of offers, including ones from Arkansas, Auburn, Clemson, Florida, Florida State, Miami, Michigan, Oklahoma, Stanford and UCLA, among others.

Holmes is Notre Dame's 15th commitment of the 2014 recruiting cycle and moves the Fighting Irish to seventh in the nation in the 247 Composite team recruiting rankings.
