Nyles Morgan talks college choices, The Opening

SB Nation Recruiting talked to elite middle linebacker recruit Nyles Morgan, discussing The Opening and how his college choices trend toward the SEC.

Nyles Morgan still has a lot of deciding to do, but he gave some hints about his recruiting process while talking to SB Nation Recruiting at Nike's The Opening in Beaverton, Ore.

For the Crete (Ill.) product, it seems everything is pretty wide open. The 6'2, 228-pound middle linebacker named a few favorites but said they're all in the mix together, adding that besides the visits he's already made, he doesn't have others planned. He ranks as the No. 4 inside linebacker in the nation and the No. 2 player in the state of Illinois, per 247's composite rankings. Despite his Midwest background, the Illinois product seems to favor the SEC: his 33 offers include Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Ole Miss, Mississippi State, Texas A&M and Vanderbilt. He also has offers from Notre Dame, Ohio State, Michigan, Oklahoma, USC, UCLA and other nationally prominent schools.

In the video, Morgan discusses his favorite Nike gear from the week, the player he had the most difficulty guarding in 7-on-7 play and what he enjoyed about the week. He also discussed his plans going forward, with at least one comparison to a recent Heisman finalist.
