Luke Rubenzer talks The Opening, committing to Cal

The undersized quarterback looks like he will make the Elite 11.

BEAVERTON, Oregon -- Consensus three-star quarterback prospect Luke Rubenzer of Scottsdale (Ariz.) Saguaro isn't ranked among the top 30 pro-style quarterbacks in the country, but he is committed to the Cal Golden Bears and is holding his own at Elite 11/The Opening, ranking among the Elite 11 on both of the lists released by head coach Trent Dilfer.

SB Nation Recruiting caught up with Rubenzer to talk about the process, his biggest takeaway from the event, why he chose the Bears, and some recent success with his recruiting efforts.
