Top-rated Class of 2014 offensive tackle Cameron Robinson will delay his highly-anticipated commitment announcement until Wednesday, September 4 so that ESPN can cover the event, according to the player's Twitter feed:
Commitment Date has been pushed back to next Wednesday, Sept 4, 2013 bc Espn wld like to come to West Monroe & cover it live ...— Cameron D. Robinson (@crobinson_68) August 29, 2013
Prior to The Worldwide Leader's involvement, Robinson had been set to announce his college choice Friday. He previously narrowed his choices to Alabama and LSU. Robinson holds offers from many of the nation's top programs, including Michigan, Texas, Oklahoma, Texas A&M, Auburn, TCU, Ole Miss, and Washington. The recruiting experts at 247 Sports largely believe Robinson will choose Alabama, but the Bayou Bengals are hardly out of the running.
The 6'5, 318-lb. Robinson, who hails from West Monroe, LA, has moved to the top of almost everyone's offensive line recruiting board. He is a universal five-star recruit, and the top-rated lineman at all four major scouting services. 247 Sports has rated Robinson as the nation's top overall recruit. Rivals, Scout, and ESPN all have him rated among the top 3 nationally.
