Ford is listed as a four-star prospect by 247Sports, Rivals and ESPN and a three-star by Scout. Standing 6'0 and weighing in at 285 pounds, 247 lists him as the No. 16 defensive tackle in the class. ESPN ranks Ford as the 21st-best player at his position, and Scout lists him at No. 24. Rivals says he's the No. 32 defensive tackle.

Ford is a highly sought after player with 21 offers from across the country. He chose Louisville over South Carolina, Tennessee, Ohio State and Oklahoma State, among others. He has good agility and speed for a player at his position, running a reported 4.85-second 40-yard dash.

Ford hails from Hilton Head Island , S.C., and the in-state Gamecocks likely will compete for Ford's services all the way to National Signing Day.
