The Alabama Crimson Tide have lost running back Dee Hart and wide receiver DeAndrew White for the season because of knee injuries, the school announced Monday. Both players suffered the injuries during Saturday's win over Ole Miss.
Hart has served in a complementary role for the Crimson Tide offense and is currently fourth on the team in rushing yards. His season ends with 21 carries for 88 yards through five games.
White has caught eight passes for 105 yards and two touchdowns this season. In his absence, the Tide will need more production from its leading receivers – Amari Cooper is the only receiver with double-digit receptions at this point in the season, and he also leads the team in receiving yardage. His three touchdowns are tied for the lead among the team's pass catchers. Kevin Norwood is second on the team with nine receptions for 179 yards.
The Crimson Tide are off this week and return to the field against Missouri on Oct. 13.
