Arizona State will be on the road for the second straight week when they travel to Colorado to face the Buffaloes.
The Arizona State Sun Devils are off to a good start in conference play and will attempt to keep rolling when they travel to Colorado to face the Buffaloes on Thursday.
At 2-0, the Sun Devils currently sit atop the Pac-12 South division. They are 4-1 overall this season and should be well rested as they are coming off a bye week. ASU has been strong both offensively and defensively this season. Led by quarterback Taylor Kelly, the Sun Devils are 23rd in the country in scoring at 38.4 points per game. Arizona State is 12th in points allowed, limiting opponents to 13.6 points per game.
Colorado, on the other hand, has struggled on both sides of the ball. The Buffaloes are 1-4 on the season and rank in the bottom 20 in both points scored and points allowed. Colorado's offense is averaging 21.6 points through its first five games, good for 102nd in the country. The defense ranks lower, coming in at 118th by allowing 39.4 points per game. Like Arizona State, Colorado is also coming off a bye week.
Arizona State is a heavy favorite heading into the game, but have to be cautious to not overlook the Buffaloes. ASU is set to face No. 2 Oregon next week.
Game time, TV channel: 9 p.m. ET, ESPN
Point spread: Arizona State favored by 23 points
