The Kansas State Wildcats stay undefeated and in control of their Big 12 destiny after holding off a strong challenge from the Iowa State Cyclones.
The Iowa St. Cyclones gave the Kansas St. Wildcats all they could handle. Behind Collin Klein though, it was 6th-ranked Kansas State who held on to win by the final score of 27-21. Here are the video highlights.
Iowa State took the lead briefly in the second quarter when Jared Barnett escaped pressure and found Ernst Brun for a 29 yard touchdown. Kansas State would respond with Klein, as he rushed it in from six yards out to give the Wildcats a 17-14 lead at halftime. Klein would do it again in the third quarter, escaping the pocket and heading for the right pylon to go up 24-14.
The Cyclones would rally with one fourth quarter touchdown on a Jeff Woody two yard rush, but after Kansas State kicked a late field goal, Iowa State's last drive was snuffed out before they could escape their own territory. Klein threw for 187 yards while rushing for 105 yards and three touchdowns.
