Arizona State's challenge gets even tougher, as it now has to slow down Oregon's offense without top defender Will Sutton, for a while at least.

Star Arizona State defensive tackle Will Sutton was helped off the field early against Oregon with an apparent right knee injury. Samantha Steele reports it's possible he could return later in the game. The big junior went down during a snap in which he also forced an Oregon fumble.

Sutton ranks fourth in the country in sacks, with 7.5, and leads the Pac-12 in tackles for loss, with 13. So far, Sutton has been replaced by Jake Sheffield, a former Marine who served in Iraq and a junior who's made a handful of game appearances, logging a tackle each against Illinois and Colorado.

Defense will be at a premium for the game, which has seen 15 points in its first 90 seconds. The Sun Devils took advantage of an early turnover, with Kenjon Barner retorting almost immediately with a long touchdown run up the middle for the Ducks.
