Currently sitting atop the Big East, the Rutgers Scarlet Knights travel to Philadelphia to play the Temple Owls. Ranked 19th in the AP poll, Rutgers is enjoying its best start since 2007, led by a defense that is tops in the league at forcing turnovers.
The Scarlet Knights will face one of the Big East's better offenses in Temple, which is currently 2-0 in the conference and boasts a strong running game behind Montel Harris, who has totaled 275 yards and three touchdowns over the last two games. But something will have to give, as the Scarlet Knights are second in the entire country in stopping the run, allowing just under 61 yards per game.
This is the first time the two teams will meet since Temple was booted from the Big East in 2004.
Game time, TV channel: Noon ET, ESPN3
Point spread: Rutgers is favored by -3.5 points. Find the game spread here.
