Kevin C. Cox

AJ McCarron and the Alabama Crimson Tide improved to 7-0 on the season with a demolition of the Tennessee Volunteers.

The Alabama Crimson Tide had no trouble rolling up the Tennessee Volunteers in a 44-13 victory in Knoxville. Here are the video highlights.

Alabama would get on the scoreboard after AJ McCarron connected with Amari Cooper for 23 yards to put the Crimson Tide up 7-0. Tennessee would respond with a field goal to cut the lead to 7-3 thanks to a few nice throws by Tyler Bray, but then Alabama started turning the heat up. A Bray interception led to a few T.J. Yeldon runs and a 13-3 Alabama lead. On the next Alabama scoring drive, McCarron would hit up Michael Williams to make it 20-3.

Tennessee would respond would an A.J. Johnson rushing TD to cut the lead to 20-10 later in the second quarter, but then Alabama would roll off touchdown after touchdown. Jeremy Shelley would kick a 34-yard field goal just before halftime, and then McCarron unleashed the dagger right before halftime on a 42 yard strike to put the Tide up 30-10. Bray tried leading Tennessee back down the field, but his attempted touchdown throw into the end zone was picked off by Robert Lester, and Alabama would capitalize on McCarron's fourth touchdown throw to Kenny Bell. T.J. Yeldon capped off the night for the Tide with a 43 yard rushing score.
