Collin Klein was responsible for seven touchdowns in Kansas State's 55-14 romp over West Virginia.
The Kansas State Wildcats established themselves as the favorites to win the Big 12 by barbecuing the West Virginia Mountaineers 55-14. Here are the highlights.
The Heisman Trophy race probably has a frontrunner now, as Kansas State quarterback Collin Klein went into Morgantown and absolutely roasted the Mountaineers. Klein completed 19 of 21 passes for 323 yards, throwing three touchdowns and rushing for four more.
Klein would find Tyler Lockett in the corner of the end zone to make it 10-0 Kansas State in the first quarter. Klein would connect with Lockett again in the second quarter for a big 44 yard gain, and then rush it into the end zone three times in the second quarter to negate a Tavon Austin 100 yard touchdown return by West Virginia and put the Wildcats up 31-7.
In the third quarter, it was more Klein. After a Kansas State interception of Geno Smith, Klein would scoot a throw into double coverage that Chris Harper would haul in to make it 38-7. After Klein scored another rushing touchdown, he'd find Lockett for a 20 yard score to polish off one remarkable performance.
