Oklahoma got their first touchdown thanks to a Landry Jones 44 yard throw to Kenny Stills, as the Sooners took a 10-0 lead through the first quarter. Kansas would try and respond by driving into the Oklahoma red zone, but Tom Wort sacked and forced a fumble that Casey Walker would scoop up and take 45 yards the other way. Oklahoma would immediately capitalize with a Blake Bell one yard touchdown rush and a 17-0 Sooners lead.
Then the floodgates opened. Justin Brown returned a punt 90 yards for a touchdown. Damien Williams added another rushing touchdown. Jones found Sterling Shepard for another score before halftime, and Roy Finch returned the second half opening kickoff 99 yards to make it 45-0, which essentially ended the game.
