The No. 3 Kansas St. Wildcats are hosting the No. 14 Texas Tech Red Raiders in a key Big 12 matchup on Saturday. Texas Tech is a surprise team this year, defeating a pair of ranked teams in TCU and West Virginia to justify its spot in the polls.
This game features a pair of great quarterbacks in Kansas State's Heisman front-runner Collin Klein and Texas Tech's Seth Doege. Just last week, Klein completed an amazing 19-of-21 passes for 323 yards and three touchdowns against West Virginia. Overall, Klein just gets the job done, either through te air or on the ground, where he has 14 touchdowns.
As for Doege, he is a having a good year for the Red Raiders and shredding defenses by passing for 315 yards per game. He also leads the nation with 28 touchdown passes.
While the offense gets all of the attention, these two teams also sport good defenses. Kansas State allows just 16.1 points per game, while Texas Tech allows 21.6 points per game. However, the Red Raiders are stingy, giving up just 282 yards.
Game time, TV channel: Saturday, 3:30 p.m. ET, FOX
